Yaaay Mortal Kombat's finally done! Now I can show my work!!

I know I haven't been on my blog in like... well... forever, but in all seriousness, no body follows it anyway. :)

But on any note... the game we've been working on for over 2 years now (Mortal Kombat) has finally been released and we couldn't be more proud of the results!

Many digital beings where mutilated, decapitated, disemboweled, exploded, and shredded in the making of this game... and we loved every second of it. :)

So without further ado... here is a fancy compilation reel featuring all of my "best of's" I created while working on the game.

Well, looks like Midway couldn't live without me so as of Monday March 2nd I am headin back up! It'll be fun to work with my team again, but I just hope that Midway can pull out of this bankruptcy funk they are in. I'll be back working on the game, "This Is Vegas".

Workin for da Gub'ment

So I'm about 25% of the way through this short I'm working doing all of the facial animation involved. It really is a blast working on this and hope we can establish a nice contract to continue doing these in the future. Hopefully on the next one I'll have a little more time to polish up the animation. This current deadline is cut-throat. Yaaaaay for 4500 more frames to animate in 15 days.

Artist for hire!

As of yesterday I an am unemployed artist in the post apocalyptic tundra of Midway Game's wrath. They laid off over 100 employees from various studios with Chicago being the major taker. Being a cinematic artist at Midway was truly a blast from the amount of projects I worked on to the awesome artists in which I had the great pleasure to work with. I will truly miss it.

We have some early plans that have been put into effect to keep "the band together" with some work hopefully coming in the mean time. Chicago is a great untapped resource and as of now there are not many game development studios in this area...or not enough rather.

I am currently a blogging virgin and am utilizing this resource now in hopes of finding more possible connections and work.

Here are some links to learn a bit more about me and what I do. I'll post my Reel once it fully uploads.
